SAVING SPACES

WELL everyone knows we could not save MSN LIVE SPACES…. we know progress moved on and so we did too. I am so happy that they forwarded all the nice posts I made on that page regarding wonderful spaces I visited. As of 2013 many of the old bloggers have stopped blogging altogether. WE moved on to Facebook and keep in touch there too. I will be keeping this blog open so I can reference back to the names of some of the old Spaces blogs. It might be nice to check in from time to time to relive some of our past.

SPRING 2010.. TOODIE OF BABBLELOT

Much has happened since 2009. Illness of my mother here

at home has caused me to neglect this space terribly.

I don’t spend much time on line to update this space or

to travel to seek out other spaces. Seems time now to

update here though.. So here goes….

I have  chosen another wonderful blog and here

 TOODIE OF BABBLELOT!!

Most of us spacers have known Toodie for a long time.

She is a very , very creative person with much

talent and artisitc style. She woodburns and crafts many

items, and has them for sale over the internet. Here is a

She is married to Hugh and together they come up with some

jim-dandy ideas and go through life with eyes wide open

and ready for the adventure. YOU WILL LOVE THIS BLOG..

” Pyrography keeps me grounded in so many ways. To hold a hot

pen in your hand you learn to gently hold it as gripping it will

 actually heat up your fingers! ouch! The type of pen I love is

 the old style with a band of cork between your fingers and

 the hot burning tip. This medium teaches patience and the

 art of relaxing. Once you learn not to be afraid but just do it,

 you absorb confidence. There are laser machines now and

somehow people don’t appreciate what goes into woodburning

 by hand. I certainly never got rich from doing this passion but

I never expected to. The eye is in the beholder, and sometimes

 someone comes along and sees what you see”.

2009 SPACEWALK SPACE

It’s been a long time since I last posted here. Life sure gets in

the way sometimes.  I cannot believe it has been so long though.

More and more spaces are now private so finding the great ones

that are not is a hard job. I have updated the listings here as

many many spaces are now closed or no longer active. I do

hope you will stop by and check out some of the ones

that are open.  I found a good one to add though.

TERRY’S SPACE

 

Terry is the sister of SHERRY of  BORN IN BURRWOOD, also featured here

and her space is a wonderful one to visit. Terry talks about

her family and what’s going on in her world there is WISCONSIN.

” We toured the house, a barn, the schoolhouse and saw an old smokehouse, outhouse and chicken coop.  They were quite surprise at the was school was taught and one of the boys ended up in the corner with the dunce cap on.  Then we all had lunch, (carried in pails, baskets etc.) at the picnic tables and got on the bus back to school.  Received a big hug from Carson for coming along.  May have to go back without kids so I can get a good tour, lol. “

under the old bridge.   You know, I don’t really remember what

Rusty is from Ontario Canada and writes just about everything

you could want to read.She loves reading, geneology,

 music,computer, This is a gorgeous space with wonderful

color co-ordination and decoration, which is very pleasing to the

eye. This is not like any other space you have visited..take it

from me.

Been a long time since I updated this space here.. I have had so many other

projects going at the same time I have negelected one of my favorite

spaces.   Hope to be able to keep this place going with new and

interesting spaces. One popped into mind lately..

JoAnn is a retired, married, mother of two and grandma of 5!

She lives in Texas, loves to cook and sew quilts.

She writes very interesting tidbits on her space about her

life and her family.  She has only  had her space since Feb of 2008,

her life.. Her Photo Albums are full of treasures. She has made the most

LIFE, LOVE AND THE PURSUIT OF CHEESECAKE

Here is a space called LIFE, LOVE AND THE PURSUIT OF CHEESECAKE.
It is written by Rissa, who lives in Missouri. She is the married mom of 8,
a blended family, 5 children of her own, who works as a certified respiratory
therapist in a hospital.
Rissa enjoys reading cooking, rainy days,writing, crafts, time with her
family,and learning new things, and she  loves cheesecake.She is a published
author of some articles and poems. She has had varied jobs throughout
her life, she would love to travel and learn how to fly a plane.
She loves football and was a manager of a team in high school.
She has a variety of things on her space and they are very interesting
to the reader. Here is a sample of her recent blog….

"I couldn’t help to think what irony this was, with one life
clinging on till the end, a full life and yet another life
 taken for granted and treated with such irreverence,
yet a life spared none the less and given one more
 chance. All I could think is WHY? I try not to allow
myself that question too often at work…but that
day I couldn’t stop myself….why? There must be a reason
 for this…something maybe I will never see or know..
.but still i wondered …why?
  Now it is not my place to judge, I merely am making
 an observation here. Who knows what type of struggle
 and turmoil that man faced to be in such a mindset as
 to try to end his life. I am not going to pretend to
 understand that at all. I just find it interesting to
see the things I see. I quietly go on about my day
doing my job as best I can and hope that I make
 a difference. I suppose this is life and this is reality
 especially in my job, but sometimes it sticks with
 me and I try to find some sort of lesson in it for my self."
