SPRING 2010.. TOODIE OF BABBLELOT

Much has happened since 2009. Illness of my mother here

at home has caused me to neglect this space terribly.

I don’t spend much time on line to update this space or

to travel to seek out other spaces. Seems time now to

update here though.. So here goes….

I have  chosen another wonderful blog and here

 TOODIE OF BABBLELOT!!

Most of us spacers have known Toodie for a long time.

She is a very , very creative person with much

talent and artisitc style. She woodburns and crafts many

items, and has them for sale over the internet. Here is a

She is married to Hugh and together they come up with some

jim-dandy ideas and go through life with eyes wide open

and ready for the adventure. YOU WILL LOVE THIS BLOG..

“ Pyrography keeps me grounded in so many ways. To hold a hot

pen in your hand you learn to gently hold it as gripping it will

 actually heat up your fingers! ouch! The type of pen I love is

 the old style with a band of cork between your fingers and

 the hot burning tip. This medium teaches patience and the

 art of relaxing. Once you learn not to be afraid but just do it,

 you absorb confidence. There are laser machines now and

somehow people don’t appreciate what goes into woodburning

 by hand. I certainly never got rich from doing this passion but

I never expected to. The eye is in the beholder, and sometimes

 someone comes along and sees what you see”.
